Livingston, Montana is the Original Gateway to Yellowstone
National Park and was originally founded in 1882 by the Northern
Pacific Railroad. The Town lies on the banks of the Yellowstone

The spacious valleys and rugged mountains give residents and visitors

Notable residents include Peter Fonda (actor), Margot Kidder (actor), Jim Harrison (author & poet), Al Feldstein (comic artist & painter) and Russell Chatham (landscape artist).
You may have read about the Livingston community in numerous outdoor magazines. Many books have been written about the area and the people (population 6,851) and the history of this western town. Livingston Montana was also recently featured (2009) in Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations television series entitled "Montana". No Reservations visited several restaurants including 2nd Street Bistro, Murray Bar, and the Emigrant Tavern. Local hosts included Jim Harrison, Russel Chatham, and Dan Lahren.
