Horse Back Riding
& Pack Trips
Montana
Fly Fishing Guides has developed relationships with two horseback
outfitters, both of whom are experienced and professional.
Rockin'
HK Outfitters offers day fishing
trips, overnight trips and multi-day pack trips. The signature trip
is a horseback fishing trip in Yellowstone National Park to the backcountry
meadows of Slough Creek. These are world-class native Cutthroat trout
fisheries. It is a memorable day that will soon rank among the best
angling journeys you've ever taken.
Bear Paw Outfitters (Montana Licensed
Outfitter - #192) offers 1-hour,
2-hour, half and full day horseback rides into scenic and remote areas
in Paradise Valley.
The owners of Bear Paw say it best: "If you would like to step
away from the hustle and bustle of the civilized world, and enjoy some
of the most beautiful, pristine wilderness in America, come join us
in Montana and Yellowstone National Park's backcountry. We are Tim
and Cindy Bowers and family, lifelong residents of the Paradise Valley
and fourth-generation Montanans. Guiding people on horseback wilderness
adventures in the summer and early fall is not a side-line for us -
it is our business!"
Whitewater
Rafting
Montana
Fly Fishing Guides in conjunction with River
Source Rafting is proud to offer full and half day rafting trips
on the Yellowstone River. These trips are available from June through
August, with June being the most prominent high water month making
the rapids that much more exciting. During lower water flows canoe
and kayak trips are also available.
River
Source's founder Jason Matthews has been working as a professional
guide for over a decade. He and his staff strive to provide a fun and
safe river experience for you and your family. All of River
Source's guides are trained in swiftwater rescue, first
aid and CPR. River
Source has designed river running programs for Montana
Fly Fishing Guides as well as Yellowstone
Valley Lodge (Livingston, MT), Voyager Outward Bound School (Eli, MN), Montana State
University (Bozeman, MT), the Orfala Family Foundation (Santa Barbara,
CA) and the Overlake Academy (Redmond, WA).
